Week 29 of Pregnancy and our Marriage Anniversary! We spent a fantastic day in Cambridge, and had a lovely homemade dinner at home in the candlelight!
Maybe it is the pregnancy or the fact that our two year wedding anniversary is on Monday, but I just really miss my husband. No, he hasn’t deployed or gone anywhere, we just don’t get a whole lot of time together anymore. Richard has been on swings for a few months now, and this week he is on super long shifts, not getting home until the wee hours of the morning rather than the late hour of 0100. I miss having normal dinners and getting to unwind with my husband after a long day of work. I get to see him in the middle of the day when I have a long break from work as long as I don’t have any errands to run. I know it is really stupid to complain, especially when I know people whose husbands are deployed or TDY or in Korea for a year right now, and after all mine does get to come home every day, even if I don’t see him everyday. In general it is just a crappy situation. Don’t get me wrong, I love the military and being a spouse, but sometimes I envy those ‘normal’ women out there. I kind of wonder what it would be like if Richard and I had done everything right. As in, completed college, got married, and lived in the states with a 9-5 job every day and the certainty that civilian life brings. The life I live now is one huge adventure, and I love that, but goodness, sometimes I wish things were more…boring… I’m tired of the long shifts, and every night of the week spent alone.
and Rhapsody kicking around my belly, trying to convince myself to get up for Church = Fantastic Sunday morning…
25 Weeks pregnant!!! Rhapsody is growing strong. I’ve noticed she gets really excited when I sing really loudly, and she enjoys kicking my bass during practice times :D Such a fantastic little baby girl! Only 15 more weeks or so to go!
